Tijuana restaurants come in all types and sizes. Of course, there are the ritzy restaurants found in hotels and commercial centers. Tijuana has fine dining restaurants that serve Italian, traditional Mexican, French-Mexican, Aztec, Mayan, Asian and other international cuisines.

The La Diferencia, La Hacienda de Tijuana, and the Cien Años are fine dining restaurants in Tijuana that serve gourmet and traditional Mexican cuisines. These luxury restaurants have impressive building facades that feature Mexican architecture in its grandest. In order to attract more visitors and tourists, many Tijuana restaurants sometimes launch food festivals and gastronomic events. A seafood festival is sometimes held in the Playas de Tijuana (Tijuana beach) in order to give tourists a taste of Tijuana’s rich seafood cuisines. There are also annual Mexican food festivals and fiestas along the popular tourist destinations of Avenida Revolucion and Zona Norte. A Caesar salad festival has also been held in Tijuana where this popular leafy appetizer was said to have originated.
